About this site
Best Blackjack Hands exists to answer one question precisely: for any blackjack hand, against any dealer card, what is the best play and by how much?
What it is
The site is a statistics reference for the card game blackjack, built around three tools: a ranking of all 340 starting situations by win probability, a hand analyzer that computes the value of every legal action for any hand, and a basic strategy chart generated from the same calculations. Around the tools sit written guides and a complete beginner's rulebook.
How the numbers are computed
Nothing on this site is copied from a strategy card. Every probability and expected value is calculated live in your browser by an expected-value engine that models the dealer's forced drawing rules and searches the player's options for the highest-value line. The default model assumes six decks, dealer standing on soft 17, blackjack paying 3:2, doubling on any two cards including after splits, and late surrender, with all values conditioned on the dealer not holding a natural. The analyzer additionally lets you switch the dealer to hitting soft 17, disallow surrender, and adjust the composition of the shoe. Results agree with standard published references for these rules, and because every page queries the same engine, the site never disagrees with itself.
What it is not
The site offers no gambling, accepts no wagers, takes no money from and gives no money to any casino, and does not claim blackjack can be beaten. It cannot, outside of advantage-play conditions that are impractical for nearly everyone. Played perfectly under good rules, blackjack loses slowly; that is the best available outcome, and this site exists to help people reach it or to enjoy the mathematics for its own sake.
Who runs it
